Workshop at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)

The staff of the Department of Information Technology (DIT) recently participated in a two-day workshop at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati , gaining valuable exposure across two specialised tracks: Ethical Hacking and Data Science & AI . The Ethical Hacking track focused on practical tools and techniques used to assess and secure systems, including wired and wireless networks , as well as web applications . Participants explored various types of cyber attacks and the mechanisms to defend against them . The Data Science & AI track introduced participants to key concepts such as Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, and Data Science . It also included hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), along with prompt engineering . The department extends its sincere gratitude to the college management for providing this valuable opportunity for professional growth and learning.
