Bhutan CTF Challenge 2025 – A Proud Moment for Jigme Namgyel Engineering College The Department of Information Technology-JNEC, is pleased to share the successful participation and contribution to the Bhutan Capture The Flag (CTF) Challenge 2025, held at GCIT in partnership with JNEC, Bhutan CIRT, and Government Technology (GovTech) Agency, Royal Government of Bhutan. Our faculty served in the organizing team, with the HoD also supporting the event as MC. The CTF provided a strong learning platform where students, staff, and professionals worked in teams to solve real cybersecurity challenges. This hands-on approach helped improve problem-solving skills, teamwork, and readiness to defend Bhutan’s digital space. As part of the program, our team presented activity 5 - Knowledge Sharing from the APNIC Foundation-funded project “Enhancing Digital Literacy and Security Awareness in Eastern Bhutan.” More knowledge-sharing activities will be delivered in November as part of the project’s ongoing community engagement efforts. This event demonstrated the value of collaboration and showed how colleges under Royal University of Bhutan can support each other, learn together, and build a united cybersecurity community. The participation also strengthened coordination with national agencies and industry experts. We thank: GCIT for hosting the event GovTech and Cyber Armour for sponsorship and technical support Faculty, volunteers, and every student who participated JNEC management for continuous encouragement The Department of IT looks forward to taking part in more initiatives that build practical skills and strengthen national cybersecurity capacity.
